Here are some pics of a piece I collected from my 'honeyhole' this week and just photographed... "Monte Jade"...reveals slicks, rind and host rock contact areas. careful inspection will reveal three jade or Hydrogrossular (hgg) materials or mixes present in this piece...some quite thin near the contact/transition area. similiar materials from the site have tested at an sg of 3.1 to 3.4...but more tests need to be done on more pieces....(new locality) SG seems to increase with increased consistant green (not seen so much on this piece). besides a mix of hgg and nephrite, you know the other possibility based on the sg :-) just one of many "jade" stones from the 'honeyhole'. this particular piece has not been tested or even directly compared with the samples already tested for Sg from the area (haven't had a chance to get together with my friend who did the sg on our rocks last week yet)...so i can't really say in this case. a series of tests to determine the actual makeup of these rocks is in the works. From Skagit County Washington State Enjoy! BTW, I don't know why I call it 'Monte'...sometimes the rocks just tell me thier names ;-)...some dry shots some wet...to view as a slide show follow this link: s790.photobucket.com/albums/yy184/jadadara/Prospecting/BigToadCreek/MonteJade/?albumview=slideshowI'll figure out posting pics on here in a little bit. ~Zeke It's all yu to me!

Heavens to Betsy...another person that found something I *cough* misplaced. When you have the time, send it to me. Your reward is the satisfaction of helping someone. TeeHee

sorry about that. same deal happened to me:
"An almost 1 ton (actually 930 Kg) boulder of imperial jade was recently dug up from 600 feet underground in Burma. Starting price for auction is 22.5 million euros !!!! (info from Pala International news)"
They refuse to return my calls! I'll return yours once I get mine back :-)
