It is interesting how thing come in threes, great to have you 2 new guys from Wyoming with us. I just got back from S.E. Wyoming and had great luck Found Rubys, Iolite, Kayonite, agate and more. First the RUBY. matrix is vermiculite. druzy beneath is from Diamond Hill Iolite in matrix. anybody got a good idea how to get out ? kayonite plate , some we found did have rubys on them - sorry no pic at present site of the dig tried to get on the other side of it ( iron Mountain ) where a kimberlite pipe with proven diamonds is, but surrounded by private owners and not rockhound friendly! The geology is that each layer is a different upheaval and are millions of years apart. just for fun we had company ( pronghorn antelope ) run with us for about 2 miles

Some pretty stuff you picked up there Dick, even if you weren't able to get over the hill to the verified pipe. Will be interested to hear more about the trip!
