The centerpiece fo the Franklin shows is the G&LW show at the big center outside town on Hwy 441. There is also a show from the local club and several smaller shows around town. I used to go to the end of July show, but have to move it to the spring show this year. I always try to go to the local rock shops while there also. I have gotten really good deals on facet rough and some decent cabbing material in the shops. There is also a tradelot/swap similar to the Grassy Creek show behind the source on 441 South. YOU will HAVE to have a business license to get into the G&LW show, but there are lots of other shows in town at the same time.
To get to Franklin you can take several routes, but I usually go to exit 27 off I40 and head south/west on 23/441. Follow 441 to the town of Franklin. It will usualy take more than one day to see the shows and I usually try to get in a little collecting while in the area. I plan to be there Friday & Saturday.

I plan on arrivng Friday and leaving either late Saturday or early Sunday. I will bring the polish I have been carrying around for a few months and perhaps you can fire up those flat laps. I will have my friend Rick with me and he can give you a few tips on using them. Will you be working there or looking?

We will be somewhere in the big venue for the G&LW show. We will probably get there about 10 or 11 and stay for the rest of the day.

;D ;D I looked for you, but you were no where to be found! I got some good cabbing rough from all over the world and even a little piece of faceting grade crystal opal from OZ. Not a lot of spicemen material around though. I got so sick of beads i wanted to throw up! When I started at these shows ten or so years ago you might see on or two tables of beads, now it seems like every other booth is a table covered with strands of beads! I never seem to see anyone wearing them, so where do they go?
