I'm hoping you might help with ideas on adhesives. This is for a child who is collecting rocks/minerals and would like to mount them in shadow boxes. I'm wondering if there is any adhesive that would be strong enough to bind minerals (about 2-4" range) to the fabric-lined backing of shadow boxes. Ideally this would be somehow removable later if the child decides to remove the minerals later. Would some kind of transparent silicone caulking do the trick? Maybe a water-soluble glue?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
