I am having trouble with coating slabs with resin. I followed the directions to the T (honestly) and everything looked good after the first hour, but after sitting overnight the resin had pooled in some areas leaving holes and thin areas elsewhere. They look terrible. I tried re-coating and the same thing happened but now I also had raised areas too. Is there a way to fix the messed up ones and avoid this problem in the future? Thanks in advance.

Why are you using Resin? Is the material so rare as to need the repair or can you just get more with less fractures. I tried it once, and the stuff just seemed to stay sticky. I use 2 part epoxy for repair of minerals and sometimes for cabbing.

I am resin coating slabs to use for home decor items, not for repair. For repairs and stabilizing I use Opticon or epoxy.
