It would probably help if we knew where you lived, where you want to rock hunt, etc. etc. Do you live in the United States ?

Try the Last Chance Mine in Creede, Co. find sowbelly agate, amethyst, silver, sphalerites, florite, galena and turqouise. The sowbelly you find on this site come from the Last Chance. Material cabs and polishes well and is very durable. The mine has made 2 new purchases and will be expanding 2015 plus planned underground for 2015.

newbie here but I live in a great locality. Dallas, N.C. Where do you live and how far do you want to drive? Also, I have been collecting for about two years and I know just enough to get me confused. I believe that I have found some kyanite and quartz in the same area. I have a deep blue stone that is crystaline. I don't believe kyanite is crystaline and it is not corundum so any suggestions without a picture? The blue is also included into some of the quartz and it fades out as it goes into white. The deep blue stone is not a crystal.
