1st one is not obsidian and the Mahogany chalcedony is obsidian from what I can see in the picks

You are right about the mahogany, but the cluster is obsidian. Its found with the other obsidians and the chips flake as obsidian. fixed the name on the mahogany.

Should have it checked out, have never seen it cluster like that. Looks like a couple of points on the cluster,Good luck,maybe black diamonds,haha...smoky quartz...

Obsidian, by definition, is a volcanic glass. It has cooled too rapidly to form crystals. If those are crystals in the photo, then they are something else.

However, if they are solidified globules or droplets, then they could well be obsidian. Droplets in Hawaii are called Pele's tears, something like Apache tears.
