I am based in NY, but also like the abandoned mine sites in CT, PA, and I visit Indiana geode sites each year.
Anyone interested in planning excursions or swapping information about construction sites?

I plan on visiting relatives in upstate NY in a month or two - any suggestions for areas to check out while I'm there? I been to the Herkimer mines years ago but that's about it.
