Found this while me and my friends took a break from diggin' (if you call packin' 500 pounds of tools and beer up hill a break) we where walking along a trail and found dozens of these even 2 large ones it reminds me of like a marble countertop. most of it is imbeded with crystal anyway I could use some help on it Attachments:

cant realy tell what the sourounding is but does resemble feldspar , if so it could be amozonite

I agree with Dicky. Were you hiking in a pegmatite area? That may be why you were seeing it all along the trail. Feldspar, albite, some quartz, maybe perthite, could all be mixed up in there. Just guessing. Joe

ya I'm not sure its an old closed off trail no tellin' where they got the material for it gonna check the surrounding trails and see if I can't find the source thanks for the help
