hello ive never posted here but i literally live less than 5 mins from crabtree mine but anyway this specimen was given to me and i have nooo idea what it is.. please help its greyish silver with some pyrite and is not magnetic at all...

::)I don't think the wording for the subject line should use a word like "crap". There are no crappy rocks in this world. There may be some leaverite laying around but one persons leaverite is another person's pretty rock. As for your rock, it looks like galena. Just my opinion. Also please resize your photos so that they properly fit the message board. Sorry you lived so close to the Crabtree mine and didn't come to our dig. You missed a good time. I can think of several types of crap rock; White Snake, Poison, Guns and Roses, and that crap they cook in burnt out basements and sell in the ghetto.

Sure looks like a gorgeous galena specimen to me. If you think it's crap, I'll be more than happy to give it a new home. It would look great sitting on a shelf next to my other galena specimens.
