To be clear, I'm aiming to take a rock and make a full ring out of it. I'm not looking to have metal be the ring and have a small rock on top. It's all rock, one piece. I sometimes have issues properly explaining myself.
I love working with my hands and taking on new projects. As I feel i'm a bit out of my element, I'm asking for advice of a more knowledgeable group.
I'm not focusing on a particular type of rock, but a rock that would give me the specific color i want. I understand how rocks density work. In order to shape one rock you must use a rock of a greater density. and Diamonds beat all. So i'm looking for a rock of a specific color that is easy to shape but also isn't brittle.
What I have.
I have a Dremel 4200 www.lowes.com/pd_571073-353-4200-4-36_0__?Ntt=dremel+4200&UserSearch=dremel+4200&productId=50168161&rpp=32
and A Dremel EZ Lock www.cporotarytools.com/dremel-710-08-160-piece-all-purpose-rotary-accessory-kit/drln710-08,default,pd.html?ref=pla&zmam=31282435&zmas=47&zmac=701&zmap=drln710-08&kpid=drln710-08&gclid=Cj0KEQjw3M6oBRDnnIywo5i287ABEiQAXRm7Sz2g2bYWPXXee1k4qdDk9DaC2hSSRS_zNsGipr5j83waAuZN8P8HAQ
Now I am also working with wood so this hasn't been a total waste of my money, just wanted you to know what I have at my disposal.
So I need to make Rings for myself and my friends of these specific colors of rocks that aren't going to fall apart or break.
Rocks colors needed are Blue, yellow, green, Red, violet, orange and indigo.
Also any advice on what attachments to get my Dremel and anywhere i can buy the rocks where I don't have to purchase a Metric Ton of them would also be helpful.
I've already ordered a ring sizer so I'm sure they'll fit.
Please, any advice would be most appreciated.
