I am planning to do some rock hounding in Colorado during a summer vacation. I am trying to narrow down the many possible spots to just a few close to where I will be staying. I found a description of an area called the Green Ridge Peamatite in the book "Colorado Rockhounding" by Stephen Voynick.
The area extends from Lonesome Peak in a north-west direction to Lake Granby. The book mentions this area may be challenging since it is heavily wooded. Does anyone have any collecting tips for this area? Thanks.
