Found a couple of these on my property--are they anything?

Found two of these in a recent septic tank dig on the property, they are kinda neat--are they Obsidian? or just some kind of junk glass?

thanks for your input, I am in central NC so not sure if obsidian is found here, some sites say no, they were found 50-75 ft from a Railroad track so I guess anything could've hopped a freight train to my back yard

Def not obsidian, but slag glass. I can tell its slag by the color showing through in the last photo. Its amber when a light is behind it just like a beer bottle. There must be a glass recycling place near you somewhere. johnnyrockin

from my study theres not obsidian east of the Mississippi river.
